Interview your short list of mentor candidates and choose the one who’s right for you. Then get all you can from the new relationship. Listen to the advice you receive, probe for more data and soak up as much pertinent financial knowledge from your mentor as you can. Discipline yourself to achieve your financial goals – make a plan and stick to it. Record the details of your mentor selection process and financial plans in your journal.
