Story Telling
James T. Kirk (Captain of the starship Enterprise, to Mr., Spock), “We humans are full of unpredictable emotions that logic cannot solve.” Your challenge for today is to find or imagine a situation where a solution lay in exercising the emotion and innovation of Kirk while adopting the logical processes of Spock. Start with something that requires creativity and innovation and then break it down into parts that can be worked out logically. Then, similarly to the movie chain in today’s presentation, build a solution that uses some ingenuity and lots of logical thought. Remember, it was inventor Thomas Edison who is oft quoted as saying, “Genius: one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.” Record your strategy, solution, and thoughts in your journal.
